Our CHOICES Make Us More or Less of What WE Are Meant To Be
Our lives can be simple or complex. We live in this world for a short time compared to eternity. While we are here, from time to time, the question of “WHO AM I AND WHAT IS THIS ALL FOR” comes to the forefront.
No matter what comes our way, we have choices to make. What choice will you make today? Why will you choose that and not another?
CHOICES are the single most powerful freedom we have while living in this body.
In this video teaching, Graham Cooke shares his perspective on MAKING CHOICES. He stands on a foundation that cannot be shaken. Where he stands is next to the Lord God, in a living and vibrant relationship with his Creator. His God is not found in brick and mortar, though God provided these substances as an opportunity for human beings to create things in the earth.
But with everything that is natural, there is also a spiritual paradigm. And we do create things spiritually. We create life or death by the power of our words and our actions; BY THE CHOICES WE MAKE. However, the secret to overcoming the death blows that others speak over you can be OBSERVED by your choice. What will you choose to see? Will your choose to believe that persecution is something that makes you MORE OF WHO YOU ARE MEANT TO BE?
So where are you standing when you make your choices? On what foundation? Are you in a valley or on a mountain? Your perspective changes depending on where you stand.
I want to tell you where I stand when I make my choices!!!!
When I met Graham Cooke, one of my mentors, at a conference in Harrisburg PA, I honored him by asking him if I could give him a hug. In humility, he stretched out his arms. I felt the love of God rush over me. It satisfied me. Graham is a great man of God and it is an honor to share with you his heart about our Creator.
In this video clip Graham Cooke tells his story of overcoming and the secrets of the KINGDOM.
He has been trained in the ways of God and is sensitive to the needs of others. He tells of his experiences with those who discredited him. “They will look for anything to criticize be cynical about and even challenge you”, he declares.
“They may get personal, even to the point of writing articles about you in a newsletter. They may even seek you out and tell everyone you’re a deceiver”.
“It’s tough!”
Graham goes on, “They might go so far as to warn others about you… yet they’d be listening to everything you said.” In Graham’s case, they would go to his events, sit up front, and take notes. Then go back and write newsletters to discredit him. And for months, it grated on him.
In his desperation, he would pray ‘God, kill them and make it slow. At least maim them and damage their writing hand!’
Graham knew the power of dreams that God would give him. Dreams are God’s way of telling us things He wants us to know. They could be a call for us to pray, a warning about something, and a number of other things. I will share those with you another time. But for now, in this teaching, Graham is watching God speak to him and Graham is positioned in a very intimate place with God.
This is where I stand with God as well. I am a lover of God and a lover of others FOR GOD!
God will show you things. In Graham’s dream, while standing next to the throne, Graham watches angels wheel in marble, so beautiful. God spoke to his left and Jesus puts finger into marble and outlines the figure. God asks “what do you think?” and gives command and3 figures begin to carve the marble.
God says to Graham, ‘encourage them! Get into the spirit of it! They’re making something glorious!’ So Graham begins to really shout blessings to them; “strength to you, power, zeal! He continued to shout “blessings to you go for it guys!” Then God says “They will work a lot harder if you encourage them.”
This is the secret! Do you see it? To those who have ears to hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying here! Can you see it? To those who have eyes to see, see what the Spirit is doing!
“Father… it’s so beautiful!”
“That’s you, Graham! That’s how I see you! That’s what I’m making you. Would you like to see who did it?”
God showed Graham that the ones who were carving him out were the very same ones who were discrediting them… the stooges, who persecuted him in writing.
Upon waking from this dream Graham shouting to his wife, “I know what the stooges are for… now I understand that God sent them to make me become the kind of person God wants me to be!”
So I say “yes” to God, and I will pray for them. Because of that dream, I now feel a rush of affection for them. And when Graham saw them at future events, though they looked like brothers grim, he would say to them, “ So guys, how are you doing?” and his heart towards them was completely changed. In fact, he felt to accommodate them by desiring to want to even ask them, “Can I get you a biscuit?
Graham’s heart totally changed after his dream. Do you see the power in that dream?
Do you see the power he has because of his intimate relationship with his creator God?
This truth is way more powerful than a time of meditation alone. Graham is a man who made a choice; a choice to acknowledge that God is a person, who desires to know him. God is the way, the truth and the life that we all seek. Nothing but that relationship with cause us to become all we are meant to become! NOTHING!
This is the absolute truth!
The role of opposition has to bless and shape us into the man or woman we are suppose to be, as we live this life “in Christ”. Persecution! How will we see it now?
God allows in His wisdom what He can easily prevent with His power.
God uses all these things to shape us into the man or woman of God that he wants us to be.
