This review shares several key strategies for overcoming fear, anger, memory loss, and well being. Our mind components are liken to a ship. The captain is the conscious mind. The crew is the subconscious mind.

What did your mind absorb as a child?

What did your mind absorb as a child?

The Laws of mind

From 0-6 years, our mind is a sponge absorbing much of what we hear, good or bad. The negative words at this age are the most destructive of all the response patterns of the mind resulting in patterns of misery, failure, suffering, sickness and disaster.

E.G of negative words that affect the mind

  • you can’t
  • you’ll never amount to anything
  • you mustn’t
  • you’ll fail
  • you haven’t got a chance
  • you’re all wrong
  • It’s no use
  • It’s not what you know but who you know
  • the world is going to the dogs
  • what’s the use? Nobody cares
  • it’s no use trying so hard
  • things are getting worse and worse
  • life is an endless grind
  • love is for the birds
  • you just can’t win
  • pretty soon, you’ll be bankrupt
  • watch out, you’ll get the virus
  • you can’t trust a soul
What suggestions come to your mind?

What suggestions come to your mind?

Auto Suggestion for the mind

This book shares a reconditioning therapy  of the mind called “auto suggestion”, which some of us know from Napoleon Hills book “Think and Grow Rich“. This therapy is demonstrated in affirmations and verbal statements spoken in a quiet place several times daily for up to one month. It is said to release us from the mass of verbal conditioning that might otherwise distort our life pattern making the developing of good habits difficult.

A young child and many adults are giving mental consent and entertain negative suggestions to the point that they become part of their subconscious mind. But it’s vital that you are told that you have the capacity to choose your thoughts.

Do you know how to stop negative mind suggestions?

Do you know how to stop negative mind suggestions?

Choose Life, love and health of mind

This book gives specific word patterns you can use to overcome negative suggestions. One of them suggests this:
My subconscious mind knows the answer. It is responding to me now. I give thanks because I know the infinite intelligence of my subconscious knows all things and is revealing the perfect answer to me now. My real conviction is now setting free the majesty and glory of my subconscious mind. I rejoice that it is so.

This book uses the Holy Bible to share principles explained so that the person of average intelligence may understand how to use these suggestions.

The FREE audio version of this classic book is available on YouTube. I’ve posted it here.

How to love yourself so you can be happy

Do you love yourself?

Do you love yourself?

Do you love yourself?

Do others feel your love when you speak to them?

To love others we must have a reserve of understanding in ourselves. This comes when we build ourselves up in love.. We need to also practice loving ourselves. I recommend a couple books by John Eldredge. Captivating, and Wild at Heart. Each book is addressed to female and male. Captivating was the first book I read where I was prepared to receive the message I needed to begin loving myself.

How do I love myself first?

How do I love myself first?

How can we learn to love others when we don’t know how to love ourselves?

As a child, we may learn from our parents how to love ourselves. Which of you didn’t have this support? I understand and that’s why I’m sharing this podcast. Whether we imagined we weren’t loved or we truly didn’t get what we needed, matters not. What matters is that today, we begin to build our love life on a firm foundation. Taking small steps, reading supportive books, and finding loving people who stand by us through the process, we can change our lives for the better.

The journey to love yourself begins today!

Have your words ever been taken the wrong way? Do you speak before you think?

We are human and with that, many times we speak before we think. Our feelings rule us and we say things that sting the other person.

Do your feelings cause you to blurt out profanity’s because you don’t understand?

Dealing with our feelings and the feelings of others doesn’t have to be hard. We can think before we speak. We can manage our emotions. We can forgive swiftly.

Marvin J Ashton’s words in his book Begin With Yes, state this: ” If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance and care.”

How do you love when you don't understand them?

How do you love when you don’t understand them?

My podcast shares a simple way that is repeatable and successful so that we can do this and create more happiness in our life.

Mr. Ashton says “I think we would treat each other…” He states this as a “thought”, not a feeling. He is using logic while writing this statement. If he would have said “I feel”, it would have indicated that he “felt” this. He eliminated “feeling” words so that we would see this as factual and not opinion.

Do you speak before you think when you don’t understand?

We can do that same thing when we share things with our team, our family, and our co workers. He is managing his emotions by not stating his opinion emotionally. Use your thinking words when you have to speak with authority. Use your emotions when you are in a place of humility, when you want to forgive someone.

This podcast shares a simple strategy for overcoming life’s difficulties. It requires your imagination and vision, with a desire to overcome, forgive and be happy.

We can understand others better today as we implement the simple technique revealed in this podcast.

How to use discernment when you can’t tell what you should do next

Do you use discernment when you are deciding what to do next?

Do you know what discernment does?

Do you know what discernment does?

How many of us have wasted our time on a project we liked the first week but struggled to finish because we lacked discernment? I have. That crocheted afghan, refinishing that chair, making those slipcovers, all look like fun but after the first week, may seem like too much work. I remember becoming ambitious on re-roping a hammock. It began great but soon became so overwhelming, I had to stop. It was not fun and I gave up. Did you ever feel that way?

Discernment and knowing when to give up

Some things require a lot of our time. Many using social media either on their computer or smartphone, come across videos or podcasts like this one and have only a few minutes to listen or watch. Which ones should we view? Which podcast should we listen to? Granted podcasts can be listened to while we drive and only require our ears but we have priorities.

With the busyness of life, we hesitate to give some things our undivided attention because these may be distractions.  But what if they can help further our growth or success in some way? How do we decide?  How do we know what things to give our time or attention to?

What secret does discernment hold?

What secret does discernment hold?

What is discernment?

Should we take that job? Should we volunteer for that cause? Will it take us away from the other priorities for too long?
[pullquote align=”left|center|right” textalign=”left|center|right” width=”30%”]Discernment  helps us determine if things that come to us are distractions or the open door to further success. [/pullquote]Will it use up too much of my savings? We must have something more in place for discernment to work for us. Aimlessness is a vise and a life of impulse isn’t much better. Being inspired can be great if it is in line with our major definite purpose in life, but which of us has that in place? There is that special something that less that 30% of people in the world implement and may be the reason for a lack of success in that 70% of the population.

[pullquote align=”left|center|right” textalign=”left|center|right” width=”30%”]The supreme mystery of the universe is life! We come here without our consent, from whence we know not! We go away without our consent, whither, we know not![/pullquote]
We are eternally trying to solve this great riddle of “LIFE,” and, for what purpose and to what end? That we are placed on this earth for a definite reason there can be no doubt by any thinker. May it not be possible that the power which placed us here will know what to do with us when we pass on beyond the Great Divide? Would it not be a good plan to give the Creator who placed us here on earth, credit for having enough intelligence to know what to do with us after we pass on; or, should we assume the intelligence and the ability to control the future life in our own way? May it not be possible that we can co-operate with the Creator very intelligently by assuming to control our conduction on  this earth to the end that we may be decent to one another and do all the good we can in all the
ways we can during this life, leaving the hereafter to one who probably knows, better than we, what is best for us?
Napoleon Hill – The Laws of Success/Discontentment

Understanding what discontentment is meant for

In my search for photos about discontent, I discovered that many people see it as a bad thing. Some see it as sin! Others as a lack of gratefulness for the things we already have. I beg to differ. When we are young, we should be on a quest for truth as well as competency in the practical skills of life. We come into this world under the control of a higher power. Sure, we may come to find out that there is a plan for our lives. But as children, we don’t know that except that we are taught it by the church or by parents. How many of our teachers in life never tell us this?

Let discontentment drive you to become more competent

Let discontentment drive you to become more competent

Discontentment is a good thing

Babies are not content to sit when they can walk. They lack competency but that discontentment given to them by God causes passion for walking to rise up in them. Through daily action, they are becoming competent in walking. What they lack in discipline, they have in discontentment. When conquering all youths discontents of body, they move on to conquering becoming the best at riding a bike or spitting the furthest. Discontented girls conquer control over their physical bodies, their hair, their weight, their school work.

Discipline and Discontentment

As Napoleon Hill shares in the Laws of Success, disciplines are the competencies we gain by the exercise of discontentment. Millionaires become disciplined to make their first hundred and go on to make thousands, tens of thousands and then millions. Some will say they are discontent and greedy. Others will claim their discontentment is a sin. I disagree. It’s in the motivation of their chief aim you will find the truth.

Let discontentment help you give to others what it gave to you

Let discontentment help you give to others what it gave to you

Discontentment and Service

Life is about living, experiencing new things. Some are taught to be content, thanking God for what they have and living with that. This false teaching leads people to laziness, a case for lost motivation, and possibly suicide. We are here for a purpose.. in fact, for many purposes. What we become competent in may help others. The greater our competencies, the greater our impact on others. Why do you limit yourself by becoming content?

There is going to be a time where enough is enough. But until you reach old age, your aim might be to become more, to do more, to serve more. Granted, our faith and our family must be our first priority. We need to keep priorities in order. However, you are never too old to teach others what you learned through all the years you’ve lived. The heart of each of us must be to eliminate the fears others have of the unknown. The fear of the future, being unknown to youth, can be calmed by the wisdom of a well placed conversation by an elderly person.

Discontentment and Purpose

If you are discontent, let it be because you don’t know enough to help those in your influence. If you haven’t those around you to influence, use discontent to pray for the next step in finding those your knowledge and wisdom can bless. Whether you have competencies in homemaking or making millions, let discontentment be used now and later to serve your family and others so their fears can be eliminated. They can grow up to serve others as you have taught by your example. Let us remember that we came into this world by a greater force out of our control and we will leave by that same force. While we are here, let us make the most of ourselves and propel others to lives of discontentment and service for God’s sake, as we live out the calling and purpose He brought us here to fulfill.

It’s writing a list that keeps you focused on things of importance. Some of us wait until there’s a crisis situation before we act on our own behalf.

Healthy Living Begins With Focus

Healthy Focus

Having a heart attack before we take steps to keep our heart healthy
Getting a call that our child is in jail before we take steps to help him/her avoid it.
Having a blow out before we get those new tires.

Before we have a crisis situation, and while we are young and enthusiastic, we can create habits that serve us for a good future, a rich future, a happy life.

What do you focus on most?

What do you focus on most?

 Goal Setting Focus

While writing goals creates focus, we still must be open to what the universe has in store for us. Knowing how to manage our writing so we focus on taking the next action step, as suggested in Begin With Yes, by Paul Boynton, we will soon come to reach our goals.

God’s plans for us are for good. Our own plans are limited by what we can see, even in our vision. The details may surprise and delight us as we stay open. There is a statement in the Major Definite Purpose  by Napoleon Hill that states “While I don’t know how this will occur, I see this income coming to me and I continue to be happy knowing it is coming into my bank account and my mailbox from the abundance of money in the world.”  I believe that Napoleon Hill knew this from experience and now we can learn by The Laws Of Success too.

It begins with writing things down. Listen as I share more about what we should be writing.

You can purchase “Begin with Yes” here.  If you have fallen on hard times financially, I can offer an ebook copy here. This book shed so much light on how to build self confidence back in your goal setting and success happiness. As a courtesy, please leave a comment and suggestions on how to serve you better. Do you have a definite major purpose?

Many people don’t know what having a definite major purpose has to do with getting prayers answered. This podcast explains what it is, where you get it, how to use it and how to feel great about your life because of it.

I address unity, competition, comparison, perspective, success, happiness, satisfaction.

People united for a common purpose

Do you know  the purpose of gathering in groups?

The collective energy has a specific purpose. When you gather, your purpose is to get what you want. Having a definite major purpose will help you utilize the power of this gathering.

Do you know how science shows us how the universe works. Science expresses the laws of the universe so we can understand what plants and trees are for.

What is the purpose of asking God for things?

Why do we pray? How does the universe support the answers to our prayers?

Do you want to live better and set goals?  The source is your answer to our faith for these things. Understanding the seasons of sowing and reaping, we will understand that it takes time for answers to manifest and must continue to believe without doubting.

People in unity for a purpose

People in unity for a purpose

What is the purpose of other people’s opinions and beliefs?

Are you led by everybody and not focused on your own mind? You are here to do something but as you listen to everything else around you, ignoring your source, you will be tossed and turned by “every wind of doctrine”, as the bible states. You individually are here to create and expand. Asking source, God, for your needs, aligning with a high vibration of love and unity, your needs will be met quickly.

#1 Quality All True Leaders Have

#1 quality true leaders have

Play

This weeks podcast expounds on this statement and reveals the quality great leaders have.

A wise man once said “The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.”

My boyfriend wanted to paint his bedroom over. At first, I told him it was a mess and we needed to clean it up and make is just a bedroom and not an office, a gun room and a tv room. But that startled him, especially when I told him the way I’d approach it. He had his own way of cleaning and organizing and it made me wonder if I was going to be able to help him at all.

After some time, and a bit of communication, he shared his approach, which is much like the way he does many other things. He wanted to do it once and do it right. He wanted me to be there to support him. Later on, after reading the above quote, I discovered what my task as a leader over my own life and emotions.

Leaders envision something great

Leaders envision something great

The vision of  leaders

While cleaning up some paperwork of my own, I came across a program about goal setting using the SMART system. One point that jumped out what to state your “outcomes” clearly and specifically. The goal at hand is paint the bedroom and maintain harmony. I wrote down the “first step” after writing a clear set of outcomes I wanted from the project.

 The love of  leaders

Instead of setting a goal, what is better to do is create well formed outcomes. There is a process to this.

  1. State the outcome in  positive statements
  2. Ensure the outcome is within your control, not others
  3. Be very specific
  4. Use sensory based procedure
  5. Consider the context
  6. Ensure access to resources
  7. Outcomes must preserve existing benefits
  8. Outcomes must be ecologically sound
  9. Define the first step

So I began to list the outcomes I saw as my goal using positive statements, considering outcomes that I could control either in my mind or in the circumstances.  Many of the statements used words like feel free, enjoy waking up happy, feel an easiness, seeing things I love… and others. All these words are sensory statements suggested. The context involved someone else besides me and I needed to understand what he wanted.

I knew I had the resources I needed because my passion is decorating and my skill is a creative designer. I needed to be sure that upon taking on the project, the outcome would be more beneficial for the both of us and create even a better relationship, which would preserve the existing freedom we are hoping to enlarge.

Lastly, I had to consider the time involved and whether is was worth going through the process. Would it make the bedroom more conducive to happiness and pleasure? As I wrote my list I included outcomes that I consider ecologically sound.

Leadership begins at home

Leadership begins at home

Leaders and love strategies

Over the years, I have learned more about leading children. Every parent is a leader. While I embraced my role, I learned that leaders make mistakes as they grow. We must forgive ourselves for our past mistakes and forgive others as is needed at the present time. Leaders do not arrive. I am still on the journey and will continue to develop leadership qualities as a whole person for the rest of my days. My hope is that what I am learning will benefit you along your journey.

Anthony Williams shared a list of goals we must consider when growing our “love” for others. We must understand the person, have compassion for them, feel joy in the relationship, desire freedom for love to develop.

I hope that I have experienced enough to understand you. I do have compassion for you as a person seeking the qualities of a great leader. I know the struggles and the satisfaction I receive from sharing my posts. I feel joy in connecting with you; a joy on the inside that keeps me going. I desire to be free is sharing and developing my audience and I hope that you feel the freedom to comment and connect with me for more podcasts like this.
